For Babies: Something with meaning is always wonderful; maybe it was a hat that grandma knitted or a silver rattle that was given as a gift. Blankets also make great backgrounds for baby portraits. As close as you can get to solid colors are really going to make the portraits timeless. For newborns and infants, finding a plain diaper to bring and a simple onesie are often enough to wear.
